HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE FERRIS?
LET'S GET STARTED
1. That all time classic Bueller quote - and a reminder to us all to seize the day!
2. I can hear Ferris's teacher saying this in my head - with the apathy of long time teachers everywhere....
3. That float quote - which leads into Danke Schoen and then Twist and Shout.
(and yes, I had to include the
film clip!)
4. Cameron's epiphany after the disaster with his dad's car - he figured it out much sooner than I did!
5. And finally, Ferris telling everyone to go home at the end of the movie - what's not to love?

That was a fun movie! Haven't seen it in years, though. Time for another viewing. ☺
ReplyDeleteIt has such a feel-good quality to it Debbie - one of the few I've watched more than once.
DeleteLoved this movie. Haven't thought about it in forever. It's on my list to rewatch!
ReplyDeleteIf you loved it then you need to see it again Mona - it makes me smile just thinking about it!
DeleteFerris Bueller's Day Off is a Tolley Family classic! You've hit some of the best quotes, but our personal favourites? "You shouldn't be throwing anyone with that bad knee, Ed." and "Makes you look like an ass is what he does, Ed!"
ReplyDeleteLove this movie!
Another thing in common Diane! I wince when I think of poor Ed and his self inflicted war wounds in his pursuit of Ferris - and Ferris's dad just missing seeing him all those times was a hoot!
DeleteWow. I haven't thought about him in years! You know, I never remember quotes from movies, ever. I barely remembrer the names of movies I see!
ReplyDeleteI am hopeless as far as remembering movie plots etc Carol (my husband seems to have them all filed away for instant recall) but this one just makes me smile - and anything feel good is worth holding onto these days.
DeleteSuch a fun post Leanne. I love this movie! So many memorable quotes.
ReplyDeleteMe too Nancy - there are little snippets of the film that come to mind now and then that just put a smile on my face - my husband doesn't get the appeal though :)
DeleteLOL. When my son was in school, his teachers and the administration called him Ferris Bueller!
ReplyDeleteThat's just classic Tam - was it because of his wicked personality or because he wagged school successfully?
DeleteBueller? Bueller? Is one of my favorite things to post on Facebook after I post a question. People love it. One of the best movie lines I can remember.
ReplyDeleteLove that Joyce! I can hear it in my head - complete with the drawn out American accent :)
DeleteDo you know I've never seen this movie and I know it was a cult movie back then. I'll have to watch it over the Christmas break. Love the quotes
ReplyDeleteYou MUST watch it Sue - I will be so disappointed if you don't enjoy it! If we have so many other things in common, you have to like Ferris too :)
DeleteGreat quotes! <3 It! Visiting from Blogger's Pit Stop.
ReplyDeletethanks - they are just little snippets that remind me about all the things I loved in the movie!
DeleteIt would be nice to have a Ferris Bueller revival ...... We all need a lift! :) Great post!
ReplyDeleteMaybe there'll be a sequel where they escape from the retirement home for the daY!
DeleteI always loved that film. It's hard to believe that they're all so much older now. But then, aren't we all?
ReplyDeleteWhere has the time gone Rebecca? Still, I feel 20 years younger every time I watch it :)
DeleteOne of my favorite movies!
ReplyDeleteYay! You have excellent taste Lisa :)
DeleteI just love this movie and shared with my boys last year; it's not a family favorite.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that's a typo and you meant to type "noW it's a family favourite" because no family should be able to resist the joy of Ferris!
DeleteHi Leanne,
ReplyDeleteI loved that movie-- I own it. I love quotes too.
Thanks for bringing your post to Blogger's Pit Stop last week.

Haha you sound as enamoured of this movie as we are with Bill and Ted ... I wrote about it here: http://www.middleagedmama.com.au/life-according-to-bill-and-ted/
