GRAMMY DEE
My next guest in my series of great bloggers who host Link Parties is Dee from Grammy's Grid. I've known Dee for a year or so now and love how she is focused on creating a community for women who are grandmothers to get together and share their blog posts and encourage each other. She also has a second Link Party (AIM) to give other bloggers the opportunity to link up and share what they've been blogging about too. So without further ado, here is Dee and her answers to my questions about her blog and her Link Parties.
DEE'S QUESTIONS:
WHAT IS THE NAME OF YOUR BLOG?
Grammy's Grid - https://grammysgrid.com
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU.
I'm a wife, mom, grandmother, and retired nurse who lives and blogs in Alabama (USA).
WHAT DO YOU WRITE ABOUT?
Things to amuse, inform, inspire, and make you laugh!
WHAT IS A BLOGGING TIP YOU CAN PASS ON?
Engage with your readers and other bloggers.
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BLOGGING?
The best thing is “meeting” other bloggers. I have “met” bloggers from all over the world and enjoy their friendship and the opportunity to network with them. For example, Leanne. I would have never "met" her and gotten to know her if it hadn't of been for both of us blogging!
WHAT IS THE NAME OF YOUR LINK PARTY?
I have 2 parties:
The Blogging Grandmothers Link Party is held the 1st of every month and it is exclusively for grandmothers who blog. I host it along with other blogging grandmothers.
The Wednesday AIM Link Party is for everyone and is held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. AIM stands for amuse, inform, inspire, and make us laugh!
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START A LINK PARTY?
I thought it would be a great way to connect with other bloggers.
WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST CHALLENGING ABOUT HOSTING A LINK PARTY?
It's not really challenging but more frustrating when some of those who attend the parties just drop their links and run. They don't bother to even say hello or thank me for hosting, not that it's required to do so but it's just common courtesy. It's frustrating ad rude when they don't visit the other guests who link up at the party. Lately I'm seeing a lot of bloggers who are using virtual assistants to link them up at parties.
WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST REWARDING?
Meeting new bloggers and getting a compiled list of what others are writing about.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO ADD?
Thank you to Leanne for asking me to guest post! I appreciate the opportunity! For those interested in partying at Grammy's Grid, you can find the 2 blog link parties here:

Thank you Leanne for the feature! I look forward to reading your other guest posts. Sue's was before mine and I'd like to add that she is also a co-hostess with me at the #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty!
ReplyDeleteI've loved co-hosting Blogging Grandmothers Link Party with you and the other grandmothers, Dee. Thanks for the opportunity and the other coaching and tips you have offered me along the way!
ReplyDeleteAwe, Christie you are so welcome :)

My pleasure Nikki :)
DeleteSeems the 'link and run' is a pet peeve with a few of us bloggers. Dee you do a fabulous job of promoting Grandmothers and others. Thanks Leanne for promoting and supporting these link parties.
ReplyDeleteYes it is Sue, thank you :)
DeleteAwe, you're so welcome Vivian :)
ReplyDeleteDee you are an inspiration to other bloggers and I love that we learn from each other. I think automation has harmed blogging, even though it may be necessary to keep up. I would like to ban it on link-parties.
ReplyDeleteKathleen
Thank you Kathleen, I appreciate it! I would like to ban it too!
